100 cm snow tonight ,tomorrow

We haven't had our normal snow this year as you can see from my picture boiling the kettle last weekend. They are calling for up to 100 cm of snow tonight and tomorrow with winds to 120 km/h. Thats about 3 ft of snow and winds of 70 mph. Won't be going anywhere for a few days. Got lots of food in the house and a couple bottles of scotch. Let it snow

  1. Down here in southern Maine we got dumped on last week. First 12 inches and then 8 more. Can't imagine a meter of snow in one storm.

  2. We get 40 to 50 cm fairly often they are calling for accumulations of 70 to 100 cm here. with the wind there will be some great drifts on our open country. I enjoy your blog Mr Silvius.

  4. Strap 'er in, Dan. I'm sure you'll pull through it alright. Maybe they got it all wrong and you only get half that! The photo - that's living right. Take care and good luck.

  5. Thanks Brigid and Casey. Snow has stopped and we only got 50 cm, which is a half metter. Some pretty good drifts though. We had 120 km/h winds and lost electrical power at about 6am. Got power back at 7pm. Everything fine. Already have the driveway clear. Won't get in the woods tomorrow though
