  1. Yes, I have been following him for a while now and recently saw a TV bit on him a well. I am ashamed to admit I have never had the opportunity to hunt myself as I simply was not raised among hunters, in fact where I grew up guns and hunting were illegal, and at present have no one to walk me though the paces. So I watch your exploits vicariously and I would love nothing more than some day to be able to put some game on the table.

  2. Its good to hunt Michael as the name of Hanks blogs suggests,"Its honest food" The one of the purest if not the purist reason for hunting. If you ever make it to Newfoundland some day in the fall, I would be glad to take you out for a day

    1. Dan: If I ever make it back up your ways, I'll give you the heads up and I will certainly take you up on that offer. There is good hunting around these parts but given the population density around here there are just way to many yahoos that would shoot at anything that moves regardless of how much blaze orange it wears. Every year we loose a couple during white tail season, and there is usually a couple that go down with a a back full of turkey shot during turkey season. Kind of afraid to battle it out with that sort of mook. So I get our deer meat from the town road kill program. It just requires signing up and as your name comes to the top of the list you get the call (usually at 3am) to come collect one when some one hits it o the road.
