Iceberg ashore

40 degrees F at 655 pm dropping to 32 f and snow tonight. It was high 70's this weekend. We don't have much of a summer. I don't mind the cool the dogs love it. Every spring we have the bergs from the Arctic visit we also have had 3 polar bears and a wolf come ashore on the ice this spring. In one community this spring a family awoke to a polar bear coming into their house. The bear didn't get too far. It was a heavy ice year on this coast this year. I wish I had gotten a picture when the pack ice was in.

  2. Michael, Sept ,October are really beautiful. November and December can be quite mild as well. The seasons her lag a bit because of the cold Labrador Current. It is cool but not frigid cold here

    Thanks Gorges

  3. That's my new screensaver. Do you have any idea how increbily beautiful it is where you live? There's probably not vacation cottages with such views but I would give a lot to see that for more than a glimpse.

  4. Yes Brigid, I realize how beautiful it is. I am sitting in my kitchen at the moment looking at the stream of bergs drifting by. In another month I will be looking at the humpback whales returning. Good hunting and fishing as well here.
